Virtual LSSF COVID-19 Research Symposium

EVENT DATE: September 19th, 2020 | Live at 12:00PM

Please note that for the safety of our students, registration is required and only those who register will be able to attend the event.

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for a talented workforce of STEM scholars and applied researchers to solve the current and future complexities of our community health practices. Join us at the LSSF COVID-19 Research Symposium to learn about and discuss the research of our STEM student scholars from across South Florida!

The virtual Life Sciences South Florida (LSSF) COVID-19 Research Symposium will showcase the scientific work of South Florida’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) students through virtual oral presentations. Participants gain valuable experience, presentation skills, and recognition by their peers, local colleges and universities, faculty, life science industries, and the South Florida community. This virtual Symposium is focused on COVID related research projects that students are currently undertaking.

Student research presentations fall within four categories:

  • COVID-19 science investigations
  • COVID-19 education
  • COVID-19 technology
  • COVID-19 impact on the community
