Anthony Teague is the Program Director of Partnerships for Florida International University's Office of Engagement. In his role, Teague directs, manages and supports various partnerships for the university, including Life Sciences South Florida, the South Florida Black Prosperity Alliance, the City of Miami Beach, and the City of Boynton Beach.
Teague previously served as the K-12 Partnerships Manager within the Office of Community Engagement at Florida International University. In this role, Teague managed various aspects of FIU’s ACCESS Program. Achieving Community Collaboration in Education and Student Success (ACCESS) is an achievement-oriented partnership that has enabled FIU to align the university’s combined instructional, research and creative talents to Miami-Dade County Public Schools to improve the academic success of K-12 students. Teague’s work within the ACCESS program included the FIU Junior Scholars Program, supporting the expansion of The Education Effect Program in the Little Haiti community and serving as a community-facing touchpoint for new and innovative collaborations.
Prior to his time with FIU, Teague served in various capacities and roles with AmeriCorps’ City Year Inc. for over 7 years. In his most recent role with the organization, Teague served as the Impact Director for the program 6 southernmost school sites. In this role, Teague ensured the implementation of the program’s service model with fidelity, while supporting the leadership development and guidance of over 55 volunteers and full-time employees.
An FIU Alum, Teague obtained his Executive Master’s in Public Administration from FIU’s Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs with a specialization in Human Resource Policy. Teague received his B.S. in Technical Systems Management from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.
