Ashley Mielke, current senior at Florida International University, serves as the Marketing Coordinator for FIU's Office of Engagement, where she assists in managing social media and digital marketing strategy for key Engagement Initiatives, such as the Talent Development Network and Life Sciences South Florida.
Prior to working in FIU's Office of Engagement and throughout her academic journey, Ashley has worked to develop herself as a professional holding multiple internships and gaining experience in Account Management, Public Relations, and Marketing. She began her professional journey as an Account Intern for Moroch working to promote and market films for clients such as Walt Disney Pictures, PIXAR, Dream Works and Universal. She then moved to her next internship at O'Connell & Goldberg, working as a Public Relations Intern for companies in the Hospitality and Food industry, developing social media strategies and drafting press releases and monthly reports for a wide range of clients. During a summer Marketing Internship at Cheryl's & Co. she gained a deep knowledge of e-commerce and e-marketing analytics. Her last position before moving to Engagement was serving as Social Media and Marketing Coordinator for Liza Schwartz Jewelry, where she managed all digital marketing campaigns and analytics, spearheaded the company’s Good Morning America Deals & Steals Social Marketing Campaign, and created connections between Liza Schwartz Jewelry and local and national news outlets and media.
With a "no limits" belief when it comes to creative marketing, a passion for the Florida International University community and a collaborative attitude, Ashley helps to create successful and meaningful marketing campaigns with the goal of developing and connecting the South Florida Community with Florida International University.
